Thumbelina: Thumbelina, the main character in the movie is a sweet young girl, not bigger than your thumb! She is very tiny but adorable. Thumbelina is preety and an easy candidate to get into trouble easily. Thats what we see in the movie- she always gets into trouble somehow or the other. She is kind hearted and generous to all she love. She started having a passion for fairies after her mother told her a story about fairies. She even wondered if fairies are real in life. Cornelius: Cornelius is the prince of fairies. But he don't cares much about his duties being a prince. Instead, he loves adventures and feels free to ride on his bumblebee. His true love is Thumbelina whom he met when Thumbelina was singing a song about finding someone of her size. Cornelius is a determined and high-spirited guy. He is an amazing sword warrior that every prince should be. Jaquemo: Jaquemo, a faithful friend is a fun loving sparrow who likes to sing and read love stories (he was the one who first appeared in the begining of the movie). He is kind hearted and helps Thumbelina in every way he could. Jaquemo doeasn't losses hope easily. He was the only one who took Thumbelina to the vale of the fairies and made her aware that Cornelius is alive. Mama toad: Mama toad as said in the movie is the mother of Grundel (the toad who felt in love with Thumbelina when Thumbelina and Cornelius were singing together). She is a performer in 'Los Sapos Guapos'. Mama toad is energetic and mean. She wanted Grundel to marry Thumbelina not because Grundel felt in love with her but because she wanted Thumbelina to be a part of Los Sapos Guapos as she will benefit in some way. Grundel: Grundel is the son of Mama toad. He felt in love with Thumbelina and wanted to marry her but unfortunately, he couldn't. Beetle: Beetle was the next obstacle in the way of Thumbelina. She took her to perform on the stage and insulted her by saying that she is ugly and a wingless creature in front of everybody. This hurted Thumbelina lot. Beetle is a mean and heartless fellow! Ms.Fieldmouse: Ms.Fieldmouse can't be described as mean and evil. She is good at heart, thats why she helped Thumbelina by bringing her at her home rather than letting her to starve to death in cold but Ms.Fieldmouse don't believe in love and according to her "love makes people blind". She was the one who arranged Thumbelina's and Mr.Mole's marriage. Mr.Mole: Mr.Mole is very unusual creature. He hates light and the Sun and prefers darkness more. His marriage was arranged with Thumbelina and he was happy to marry her but Thumbelina didn't willed to marry him as she loved Cornelius. King of fairies: The king of fairies is Cornelius' father. He cares for his son but not much like his wife does. He lets Cornelius to do whatever he wishes to do. Queen of fairies: Cornelius' mother- the queen of fairies cares a little of too much for her son. According to her, Cornelius must pay attention towards his royal duties instead if riding on his bumblebee. Thumbelina's mother: Thumbelina's mother is a kind hearted woman. She didn't had any child before Thumbelina's birth. She loves Thumbelina a lot.
